Welcome! I hope you are well.
I’d like to offer a few suggestions for viewing this portfolio:
1. If you are just interested in the art...knock yourself out! Please enjoy.
2. If you are a professional appraising this portfolio, please proceed carefully. It is helpful at the start of portfolio appraisal to send along your own portfolio or samples of your work. This allows me to understand how we will be interacting and let me determine some aspects of the expertise and knowledge of those making judgments on my work and my apparent expertise.
When looking at the work, I would ask you keep in mind I am not petitioning for a critique. Instead, I am trusting in the abilities of your assessment to determine where I might be able to assist and add my expertise to your endeavor. My work holds plenty of information regarding production knowledge that will be familiar, and some advantages peculiar to myself.
As we humans (especially professionals) tend to warp and distort what we see at first pass, making snap judgments and projecting expectation, I would suggest giving the portfolio an initial look then taking a day or two to give it a second look. Along the same vein please guard against pigeon holes, they won’t help either of us. I work casually across media and styles and feel comfortable innovating.
I am a professional artist and this has some meaning, none of which involve being a servant or part of a service department. Art is never this. I exert my expertise courteously, but forcefully. I never accept stereotypes or folklore regarding what I do or where it fits into pipelines or productions.
With that said: Enjoy.
